Subway is testing gluten-free sandwich buns and gluten-free brownies at 700 locations in Dallas and East Texas. If it is successful expect it to be available nationwide.

I've worked at Subway and remember wiping breadcrumbs from in-between the bins and cutting board on the assembly line. I also remember replacing empty veggie bins with full bins and noticing bread crumbs and cheese bits at the bottom of each bin. Even with the same preparer from start to finish, how can they possibly control the crumbs falling into their veggie bins from other sandwiches? These sandwich artists are fast/efficient at what they do, but bread crumbs will be bread crumbs.
